The recently commissioned Midlands Data Center is the first Tier IV, LEED registered facility of its kind in the region. Built to withstand the most rigorous weather conditions, including 250 mph winds, the center is equipped with state of the art physical and electronic security systems. With NIST, PCI, SAS7O and many other certifications and standards, the Midlands Data Center is one of the few centers that will meet the newest OSHA guidelines. - Hardened Facility - hardened to withstand the region’s most extreme weather
- Dual power, water, fiber entrances all in underground protected entrances
- Multi-layered integrated security – pre screening, biometrics with security badge and physical challenge access systems
- 24 by 7 on site security staff with extensive building and environmental monitoring systems with offsite backup
- UPS Catcher Bus design/redundancy & compartmentalization between UPS rooms and Battery rooms and UPS battery vs. rotary (flywheel technology)
- Clean agent fire suppression in maintenance corridors and UPS rooms (RTO’s significantly reduced vis-à-vis dry pipe)
- Dual CRAC maintenance corridors for each suite, each CRAC dual fed both power and coolant
- Redundant clean agent fire suppression systems (LEED approved clean agent) in self contained rooms
- LEED requirements for natural lighting with the addition of air venting from the data center through the UPS rooms and into Battery rooms where it is eventually vented out of the facility
- Single purpose facility
- Generators and fuel are located in hardened enclosures outside of facility in separately secured yard
