CoSentry announced today that it will open 60,000-square-foot data center in Lenexa bringing 60 new jobs to the area. The facility will include a call center and technical help desk operations. The company, based in Omaha, Neb., will invest $20 million on construction and $10 million on equipment for the center. CoSentry also has data centers in Omaha, Kansas City, Mo., and Sioux Falls, S.D.
“I am pleased that CoSentry has chosen Lenexa as the location for its new data center,” said Kansas Commerce Secretary Pat George. “The community and state were well positioned to recruit CoSentry to the area, and I look forward to a long and successful partnership with the company.”
CoSentry has operated a network of cloud computing and managed technical services centers in the central United States for 11 years and has developed a national reputation for compliance and regulated computing and storage capabilities. From basic colocation to complete outsourced solutions, CoSentry teams can help design, implement and manage any size client.
“CoSentry is excited about adding a Tier 4 data center in Kansas to its network of data centers,” said Doug West, vice president and general manager. Company officials said they picked the Lenexa location because it fulfills the power, network and workforce needs of the company.
